Peter Trowles is a former council member. He is a highly respected arts and heritage professional who spent 30 years as Curator at the Glasgow School of Art where he did much to raise the international profile of the School’s Mackintosh heritage. Throughout his career Peter has undertaken extensive research, curated exhibitions worldwide, lectured to private groups and societies, and contributed to numerous international conferences. He remains interested in issues relating to architectural heritage management and the effects of cultural tourism on the built environment. As an independent arts and heritage consultant he now undertakes a variety of projects and commissions including the delivery of bespoke cultural tours in the UK and across Europe.
